Cooking for Culture
Cooking for Culture was a community bake sale organized to celebrate immigrant and refugee traditions through food, while raising critical funds for local nonprofits Kaizen Food Rescue and the Rocky Mountain Immigration Advocacy Network (RMIAN). As part of the founding team, Wellcraft Creative developed the event’s brand identity and led social media, design, and marketing efforts to drive awareness, engagement, and donations.
Our Role
Brand & Visual Design – Designed the event’s identity, graphics, and marketing collateral to convey warmth, cultural pride, and community action.
- Social Media Strategy & Content – Built and executed a paid and organic Instagram strategy, including: - Content calendar development 
- Designed original content (graphics, reels, carousels, stories) 
- Storytelling posts spotlighting beneficiary organizations, bakers, and community partners 
 
- Paid Social Campaigns – Launched and managed targeted ad campaigns to reach broader Denver audiences, with optimized spend for maximum impact. 
Results & Impact
- $8,700 raised in two hours for Kaizen Food Rescue and RMIAN 
- 2,900+ interactions across event content 
- 139 pieces of content shared in under six weeks 
- 800+ new followers gained in one month 
- Nearly 150,000 total views across platforms 
- 6,585 people reached and 14,259 impressions through paid social 
- $0.21 average cost per result through paid social — well below industry average 
Takeaways
Through intentional design and strategy, Cooking for Culture transformed a grassroots bake sale into a high-visibility campaign that raised thousands for immigrant and refugee communities, built long-term awareness for partner nonprofits, and strengthened community ties across Denver.
